While I started out as a music photographer, I have been lucky enough to get involved with various sporting events over the last decade. I think a lot of the skills learned in that genre (freezing movement and changing settings to get the best shot on the fly) translate well to sports photography too (not to mention the equipment used has the same strengths). I've been lucky enough to capture MS-UKs runners in the final stretch of the London Marathon for quite a few years, getting to soak in the atmosphere while witnessing people achieving a goal they've worked so hard for.I've also been very lucky to have the opportunity to capture the Maldon Mud Race as part of the official team, getting stuck in the mud myself to capture the pleased/relieved faces of people as they make it to the end. I also have some experience shooting cycle events and football. If you'd like me to assist in capturing the mood at a sporting event soon feel free to get in touch!
